Burkholderia cepacia complex (Bcc) is a group of antibiotic and antimicrobial agent resistant bacteria capable of causing opportunistic infections in immunocompromised individuals. This webinar will provide a review of the history and pathogenicity of Bcc, present case studies of Bcc contamination in non-sterile products, and cover the USP chapter test method and acceptance criteria for Bcc and its relation to other harmonized and non-harmonized USP chapters related to the control and detection of microorganisms in non-sterile drug products.
